It's hard to believe that my daughter, Tara is 16 years old already and she just got her first car. She enlisted the help of Grandpa John to help her find her first vehicle. She had only one request and that is she would like it to be metallic or neon green.

About a week later, Grandpa John found one for her and it is "so Tara." It matches her personality perfectly and she'll always be able to find her car in a crowded parking lot. I can't believe that my little girl is a young lady now.

I haven't ridden in the car with her yet but I'm really looking forward to it. I was asked by a friend of mine if I'm afraid to ride with her? I told him that I'm not afraid but I'm not sure if Tara is afraid to drive me around.

Are You Feeling Fearful

This leads me to a bigger question: Are you feeling fearful? No, I'm not talking about my daughter's driving, I'm talking about it in general. There is so much going on in the US that we can't control. If you've been watching the news, then you know what I mean.

Fear may be riding in the car but don't let it drive because it'll drive you crazy. Try to focus on joy instead of fear because focusing on the wrong things can keep you awake at night. It's okay to feel fear but don't dwell on it

Try this: Turn off the TV and snuggle up with a good book...or the Good Book. I find peace, joy, and faith when I take the time to read the Good Book. One thing I've discovered is that faith may not change the situation but it can change me IN the situation.
