One of my favorite songs is one called “Fear Is A Liar” by Zach Williams. I sometimes suffer from crippling anxiety and when I feel myself being pulled into that dark place and need to lift myself out before I get sucked in, I listen to that song.

In the song, the lyrics explain that fear will “take your breath, stop you in your steps…rob your rest, steal your happiness.” But then, the song goes on to explain that fear is simply a liar and in so many cases, it is. Fear is a rotten liar and we allow it to steal our joy.

The magazine “Psychology Today” took at hard look at fear and what we can do to get over the anxious feelings that try to cripple us. These are a few of their suggestions.
