Binghamton and some of the surrounding area is going into the COVID-19 "Yellow Zone" beginning on Friday, October 9th. It'll stay yellow for at least the next two weeks. Then what? Hopefully, we'll be taken off the list completely or we could into the Red or Orange Zone.

So how does all that make you feel? For many, it's enough to give you a queasy stomach...at best. You turn on the national news to get the latest developments or to watch the debates. Did that help? Nope, it didn't for me either.

Are you feeling fearful? It's okay to feel fear but don't live in it. Look at it this way: Fear may be riding in the car but don't let it drive because it'll drive you crazy. Try to focus on joy instead of the fear because focusing on the wrong thing can you sleepless nights and migraines.

Here's an idea: Turn off the TV and take a little time to snuggle up with a good book...or the good book. I find that when I read the good book, it gives me peace, joy, and faith. Faith might not change the situation but it can change you IN the situation.

If you're feeling hopeless instead of hopeful, don't give up. It's okay, not to feel okay, you can contact the Crisis Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-Talk (8255) where help is always available. JUST DON'T GIVE UP!!!
