Sunday, June 18th local artist Cyrena Summers’ art show called “Family, Friends and Flowers, Art by Cyrena Summers” will open at The Maine Space Gallery at the Janet W. Bowers Museum.

The opening reception will take place Sunday from 1-4 pm and the artwork will remain on display through Sunday, August 6th. The museum is open during the summer on Sundays from 1-4 PM and by appointment.

The gallery opening is bringing new gallery space to the western part of Broome County. Their plans include having two shows highlighting local artists each summer. Last year, it opened for the first time with works by painter Ken Weir and potter Nancy Braches, both residents of the Town of Maine.
