NYS ‘Path Through History Weekend’ Happening in Maine
This weekend, June 15th and 16th, is the New York State "Path Through History Weekend" and hundreds of events will be happening at historic and cultural destinations throughout this great state.
Once again this year, the Nanticoke Valley Historical Society will be participating. They'll be hosting events in their museum buildings from 1 to 4 p.m. The great part is that you'll be able to go through all of the Museum Buildings and get a guided tour.
The buildings are all in the Town of Maine and located at the following:
Nanticoke Valley Historical Society Janet W Bowers Museum, 13 Nanticoke Rd.
Schoolhouse Number 4, 14 Nanticoke Rd.
Pitcher’s Mill, 2819 NYS RTE 26.
Stop by and see the works of painter Marie Merithew at the Nanticoke Valley Historical Society Museum. It's your chance to travel the Broome Art Trail and view natures diversity through the eyes of Merithew.
The Trail includes over 100 participating artists and arts organizations across 53 venues throughout Broome County. It'll remain on display through August 11th.
These events are open to all and admission is FREE. Go here to find out more about the Nanticoke Valley Historical Society and take a step back in time.
