I'm honored that today (4/27) at 2 pm the Salvation Army of Binghamton has asked me to be a part of their groundbreaking event. I'll be the MC at the site of its new building at 530 State Street in Binghamton.

Many dignitaries will be on hand including Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul, Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo, Mayor Richard David, and City Council Member Conrad Taylor.

Salvation Army officers, Majors Marilyn and Ron Heimbrock will also be a part of the groundbreaking ceremony and they will announce the next phase of The Salvation Army’s capital campaign.

The Salvation Army Brass Band Ensemble will perform and refreshments will be available. While you're there you can learn how the Salvation Army’s new community center will benefit the North Side neighborhood, the city of Binghamton and Broome County.

A $1.7 million grant from NYS and Empire State Development anchors the project. Thanks to Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo, Mayor Rich David, the City of Binghamton and Broome County for their support along with the endorsement of the Regional Economic Development Council and many other local foundations.
