Spreading Holiday Cheer with Price Chopper and The Salvation Army
It’s that wonderful time of the year when the holiday spirit is in the air, and generosity is everywhere. The collaboration between Price Chopper and The Salvation Army brings joy and hope to communities through their "Red Kettle" campaign.
For over 35 years, this dynamic duo has worked hand in hand to make a difference in the lives of those in need. Last year's campaign saw $580,000 in donations from the Market 32/Price Chopper stores in New York, Vermont, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. This directly impacted the local communities where the funds were collected.
This year, the Red Kettle campaign runs from now until December 24th, and the goal is to continue the tradition of giving back during the holiday season. Blaine Bringhurst, President of Market 32/Price Chopper, expressed his gratitude for the chance to support friends and neighbors in need, while emphasizing the role the campaign plays in spreading holiday cheer.
Major Kevin Stoops, Divisional Commander for The Salvation Army, Empire State Division, highlighted the impact of even a small donation. He also mentioned that just two hours of bell-ringing at a Red Kettle can feed a family of four for a week.
It's incredible how a little generosity can go a long way in making a positive impact on the lives of local community members for men, women, and children alike. So, as you go about your holiday shopping this season, keep an eye out for those Red Kettles at Market 32/Price Chopper stores.
Your spare change or donation makes a huge difference in the lives of those less fortunate in your community. Let's spread joy, hope, and happiness this holiday season with Market 32/Price Chopper and The Salvation Army because together, we can make a difference.
