The New Double-A Mets Are Now Called?

Today is a special day. It's my birthday along with my daughter Tara, my sister Michelle and my Uncle Dale.

Today is also special because after 25 years, the Binghamton Mets are getting a new name. The Double-A Mets are staying in town but they are changing their name, logo and color scheme

Over 1,500 entries were submitted and it was cut down to the final six. Here's a reminder of what they were.

Binghamton Bullheads, Binghamton Gobblers, Binghamton Rocking Horses, Binghamton Rumble Ponies, Binghamton Stud Muffins, Binghamton Timber Jockeys.

The new name is: Binghamton Rumble Ponies.

The announcement was made at the Benjamin Franklin Elementary School.

They even have a new phone number it's, (607) 722-FUNN (3866). Let me be the first to say "LET'S GO RUMBLE PONIES."
