Binghamton Rumble Ponies Head To Playoffs Against Double-A Yankees

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies ended the regular season with their franchise record 90th win and they are keeping it going in the playoffs. The Ponies started off the 2025 Eastern League best-of-three playoffs by defeating the Somerset Patriots (Double-A Yankees) by a 3-1 score.

They look to stirrup more trouble when they return to Mirabito Stadium on Thursday, September 18th. First pitch is at 6:07 p.m. but get there early, so you aren't stuck in line outside of the stadium. Make sure that you get your rally towel at the game and stick around for a postgame celebration (we hope) fireworks show.

The "if necessary game" is Friday, September 19th if (or should I say "when) the Ponies win, they'll advance out the North Eastern Division Series and into the Eastern League Championship, it'll be at Mirabito Stadium on Sunday, September 21st with first pitch at 4:05 p.m.

They look to pick up their 4th Eastern League Championship that began in their inaugural year in 1992 as the Binghamton Mets. They won the franchise's second championship in 1994 but waited 20 years until 2014 to win their 3rd and now they are one step closer to picking up number 4.

The weather looks great for the game with clouds and temperatures in the mid 50s.On a personal note, I'm excited to announce that my daughter, Tara will be the on-the-field host for the rest of the playoffs.
