How To Get Over Your Ex-Spouse
As we all know, relationships are NOT easy and they all have their highs and lows. We hope the highs last longer than the lows but many times it just doesn't work out in the end. If your relationship didn't work out then today could be your day to help you move on mentally.
National Ex-Spouse Day
Today, April 14th is "National Ex-Spouse Day" and I don't think it's a coincidence that it's exactly two months after Valentine's Day. It's supposed to be a day to think back fondly about your ex...before you move on and celebrate the fact that they are gone.
Many times we just expect too much from each other and if we don't show grace and mercy, it could be doomed. We figure that we will always agree with each other but let's face the facts.
We have different perspectives and approaches and that doesn't mean that the other is wrong. Only a fool would follow everything you say or do and nobody wants to be married to a fool.
Do what you need to do to move on mentally, it does you NO GOOD to hang on to the past, especially if it was your fault. I try to live by this saying "When the devil reminds me of my past, I remind him of his future." It's helped me as I remind myself that I'm not that person anymore.
Moving Forward From Here
As we all go forward, the best thing to do is just to forgive them and move on. Remember that you're not a failure just because it didn't work out. Like Buddha said, "Holding on to anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die."
Since I'm so full of saying's today, I'll leave you with this: If your all your exes seem psycho, they all have one thing in common...YOU. So it may be a "you" problem and you can always change that.
