Last Saturday was a great day for a parade in Binghamton. If you missed it or just want to see what it looks like from our point of view, go here. So what about this Saturday, March 14th?

There is one in the Southern Tier that begins at 1 p.m. in Hillcrest. It's the Hillcrest St. Patrick's Day Parade to benefit the "US FOR KIDS" program. It begins at the Hillcrest American Legion, 363 West Service Road and goes southbound.

It turns left on Chenango Street and takes a right on Nowlan road and finishes in the parking lot at My Uncle's Place (that's a place, not my relative) at 120 E. Arterial Highway.

"US (Underwear and Socks) FOR KIDS" believes that all kids deserve to start every day with a strong foundation and fresh start that begins with getting dressed. The donations will be used to help kids in our community.

If you're interested in getting a float in the parade or want to participate, go here. Super Cooper Saves the Day is also looking for riders/candy throwers for their float. Wear your Super Cooper Gear (if you have it) and show up at the Hillcrest American Legion around noon to join them.

It looks like a good day for a parade with sunshine and 45 and it'll actually be warmer than last week's Binghamton St. Patrick's Day Parade. Come to the parade and bring new underwear and socks... and I don't mean just the ones that you are wearing there.
