The DICK'S Sporting Goods Open is one of the events that I look forward to every year. It's my chance to see some of the best golfers (over the age of 50) in the world, the Friday night concert (this year with Old Dominion), and most of all, attending the final round of golf on Sunday with my dad.

Last year was canceled because of the pandemic but it is coming back to celebrate its 50th year of professional golf in Broome County. The PGA Tour Champions tour is only a few weeks away from coming to En-Joie Golf Course in Endicott. It's taking place from June 28th to July 4th but things will be different this year because of the pandemic.

Some things have changed (hopefully only this year), but it's nice to know that some things remain the same. For many years, UHS would host a Golf Expo with professional golfers like Jack Nicklaus, Annika Sorenstam, Peter Jacobsen, and Nancy Lopez.

Free Family Fun Night At DICK'S Sporting Goods Open

UHS is back this year and they will be sponsoring  "Family Fun Night" with the DICK'S Sporting Goods Open on Saturday, July 3rd. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. for this FREE event.

The movie "The Sandlot" will be shown on the Jumbotron beginning at 8 p.m. with a fireworks show at 9:40 p.m. But wait there's more, in honor of the 50th year of professional golf in Broome County, concession prices will be thrown back to 1971.

Bring your family along with a blanket or chair and get ready for a FREE night of entertainment.
