Find Out What’s Permitted and Prohibited At The DICK’S Sporting Goods Open
DICK'S Sporting Goods Open week is upon us and and here is what you should know before you go...especially for the Kenny Chesney concert and the three-day tournament itself.
So before you head to En-Joie, it's a good idea to know what is permitted and prohibited at the golf course. There was going to be BIG change from previous years, but that's been changed because of the weather. Let's start with the good news and begin with what you can bring in with you.
DICK'S Sporting Goods Permitted Items
Umbrellas without sleeve - You'll want to bring an umbrella with you on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I'm hoping that the weatherman is wrong...really wrong.
Collapsible chairs without chair bags - Important that you leave your chair bag in your vehicle or you might have to take it back or leave it behind before entering.
Binoculars without a case - see above reasons to leave the case in your car.
Mobile phones, tablets and PDA's - They must be put on Silent mode and adhere to TOUR's Mobile Device Policy.
Medically necessary materials, strollers, small diaper bags, plastic baby bottles, and other essential baby supplies - The infant must be with the carrier and items subject to search.
Personal bags 6" x 6" or smaller - You can go here to see the list of bags that are approved and non-approved.

DICK'S Sporting Goods Open Prohibited Items
No video cameras at any time and no point and shoot cameras during the competition rounds and Kenny Chesney concert.

No lawn or over-sized chairs. No seal cushions in a carrying case or that have pockets or compartments.
No whistles, horns, noise makers or any other item deemed disruptive by security or tour officials. I guess that means that I'm going to leave my vuvuzela home...bummer.

There was going to be ONE big change this year but that's been changed because of the weather.
Re-Entry Will Be Allowed At The DICK'S Sporting Goods Open Because Of The Weather
Originally, you weren't going to be able to re-enter once you were inside the DICK'S Sporting Goods Open. That has changed because of the weather that's expected to hit over the weekend.
You will now be able to re-enter En-Joie Golf Course. You are encouraged to dress for rain and the starting time for opening day on Friday, June 23rd has been moved to 8:15 a.m. They will be going off the 1st and 10th tees in 5 minute intervals. The last group will tee off is scheduled for 10:26 a.m.

Kenny Chesney Concert Is On At DICK'S Sporting Goods Open
The Kenny Chesney concert is on rain or shine and UUU will be performing at the 19th Tee after the show is over. Finally don't forget your umbrella (but leave the sleeve behind) because there is a chance of rain on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This is one time that I hope the weatherman is wrong...really wrong.
