The DICK'S Sporting Goods Open is next week (8/13-8/19) at En-Joie Golf Course in Endicott and there is more then just golf.

There's the Golf Expo with Annika Sorenstam on Wednesday (8/15), Blake Shelton on Friday (8/17) and the "Walk to Defeat ALS" on Sunday (8/19) but my favorite thing is the Johnny Hart Memorial Christian Fellowship Breakfast and it's hosted again this year by The Golf Channel's Dave Marr.

It's at the Kalurah Building at 625 Dickson Street in Endicott beginning at 7:30 a.m. Tickets are only $10 and besides a great breakfast, you'll hear the role that faith has played in the daily lives of the panel of Champions Tour golfers, on and off the course.

In the past, the panel consisted of golfers like 2010 DICK’S Sporting Goods Open Champion, Loren Roberts, Mike Goodes, Lee Janzen, and one of my personal favorite golfers, 1996 B.C. Open Champion Fred Funk.

Tickets are available through the Broome County Council of Churches and at the DICK’S Sporting Goods Open Office at En-Joie Golf Course. Tickets will be available at the door if it's not sold out.

It includes admission to the Thursday Pro-Am at the DICK’S Sporting Goods Open. and a free shuttle will be provided to the golf course. Anytime that you can talk golf AND have breakfast with Christian golfers, that's a good way to start your day.

All proceeds benefit the CHOW food bus. My Dad and I have made this an annual event for us and I would love to see you there on Thursday the 16th as well.
