There are many pro and semi-pro teams in the Binghamton area. Some are very well known like the Binghamton Rumble Ponies and the Binghamton Devils. There are some that may not be as well know but should be like the semi-pro basketball team, Binghamton Bulldogs and the semi-pro soccer team, Greater Binghamton FC Thunder.

So what about a local football team? Do you remember the Tri-Cities and BC Jets? There hasn't been a successful semi-pro franchise since those glory days but that is about to change with the Broome County Stallions.

They are a member of the Northeastern Football Alliance and their goal is to give our community a competitive and professional football experience. They will play their first game of the season against the Troy Fighting Irish this Saturday night, 23rd.

Their home games are played at Binghamton Alumni Stadium and ticket prices are inexpensive. $7 for adults or bring a food item donation for CHOW and it's only $5, save a couple of bucks and help out a good cause at the same time. Kids 12 and under are free.

Jeremy Polhamus is the coach and owner of this Not-for-Profit organization and you can see the entire home and away schedule here. He would love to see you this Saturday, so follow them here and keep up with any updates with the Broome County Stallions.
