CHOW Hunger Walk Is Coming Back to Broome County
CHOW’s biggest fundraiser of the year is almost here! The 43rd Annual CHOW Hunger Walk will be on Saturday, September 20 from 12 PM to 3 PM at Oakdale Commons in Johnson City. The walk starts at noon and you are invited to come help stomp out hunger.
Why This Walk Is Important
People in Broome County are going hungry in 2025 and many families need help getting enough food. The money raised from the walk helps CHOW give food to those families.
How CHOW Helps
In 2024, CHOW gave out over 3.8 million pounds of food. That helped make more than 3.1 million meals for people in Broome County. CHOW gives food to over 120 pantries and meal sites and never charges them for it. CHOW depends on help from the community.

Raise Money Before the Walk
You can help before the walk by raising money. Make a team with family or friends, or join on your own. Ask people you know like neighbors, friends, or coworkers to give a donation. On walk day, bring your donation envelope to the CHOW table.
Donate Online
You can also donate online, just go to this link: Share the link with your friends and family by email or on Facebook. They can give online, and you don’t have to collect anything.
Let’s Help Feed Our Community
By walking or donating, you can help CHOW give food to families who need it. Every step makes a difference for people right here in Broome County. We hope to see you at the 43rd Annual CHOW Hunger Walk on Saturday, September 20th from 12 PM to 3 PM at the Oakdale Commons in Johnson City.
