It's been a Southern Tier tradition for over 25 years, it's the STOP-DWI Winter Classic and it's at 2 locations. This two day event is this Friday and Saturday (11/30 and 12/1) at  Binghamton and Seton Catholic Central Schools.

The STOP-DWI Winter Classic is more than just top caliber boys basketball. It uses basketball as a tool to create a unique and exciting learning experience for youth.

Here are the schools that are involved:

Binghamton High School- Charlie Howland Division
  • Binghamton Patriots
  • Norwich Purple Tornado
  • Owego Free Academy Indians
  • Vestal Golden Bears

Seton Catholic Central- Charlie Tarricone Division

  • Seton Catholic Central Saints
  • Cardinal O'Hara Hawks
  • Susquehanna Valley Sabers
  • Unadilla Valley Storm

Friday, November 30th:

At Binghamton High School
6:00pm- Owego vs. Norwich
7:30pm- Vestal vs. Binghamton

At Seton Catholic Central
6:00pm- Unadilla Valley vs. Seton
7:45pm- Cardinal O'Hara vs. Susquehanna Valley

Saturday, December 1st:

At Binghamton High School

4:00pm- TBD
5:30pm- TBD

At Seton Catholic Central
3:00pm- Officer Aldo Rossi Jr. Police vs. Police Memorial Game
5:00pm- TBD
6:45pm- TBD

You can buy tickets at the door. Seniors 65 and above are free and children ages 10 and under are free when accompanied by an adult. The Aldo Rossi Jr Memorial Game at SCC on Saturday is free for all.

Friday is Visions Night with one free entry with a Visions Federal Credit Union membership. You must show proof of membership and it's one entry per member.

Saturday is Rewards Night with one free entry with a Mirabito Rewards Card or a Dick's Sporting Goods Scorecard. You need to have the card with you and it's one entry per card holder.

The STOP-DWI Winter Classic is a project of the Broome County STOP-DWI Program to promote an anti-substance abuse and impaired driving message to student athletes.
