The 2018 PGA Champions Tour has come to an end and congratulations to the ageless wonder Bernhard Langer. The 2014 DICK'S Sporting Goods Open champion won his record fifth Charles Schwab Cup. He tied for 13th in the final Schwab Cup Playoffs event in Phoenix and now we look ahead to the 2019 season.

The tournament schedule will feature 27 events and end with the 30th annual Charles Schwab Cup Championship and a three tournament series beginning October 24th. The season will begin with the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai beginning January 14th.

Some of the "rookies" to the Champions Tour in 2019 will include two-time U.S. Open champion Retief Goosen and two-time major champion Angel Cabrera. Go here to see the entire 2019 PGA Tour Champions schedule.

Closer to home, the Champions Tour will be coming to the DICK'S Sporting Goods Open at En-Joie Golf Course in Endicott for the 12th year. The week long event begins August 12th and ends on the 18th with defending champ Bart Bryant leading the way. You can keep up with all the latest DICK'S Sporting Goods Open news here.

Friday night, August 16th is considered by many to be THE EVENT in the Southern Tier and I look forward to it every year. NO! I don't know what artist or group will be playing on Friday but save the date because you know it'll be a great show.
