Head to the Tioga County Fairgrounds on West Main Street in Owego and get ready for a night out to remember. You'll be in food heaven with hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks, popcorn, and snow cones and to top it all off is the music from Devon Lawton & the In-Laws...But wait there's more.

There will be free face painting, a bounce house and even a dunk tank. If you're a fan of cars, you won't want to miss the car cruise-in. For fans of law enforcement, there's a K-9 demonstration and even a helicopter landing.

"Touch a Truck" at National Night Out in Owego

The night wouldn't be complete if you don't "Touch a Truck." They are police, fire, EMS, and military-style trucks that you can climb aboard. Before you leave, make sure that you check out The Family Reading Partnership Bus too, it's basically a bus filled with great books for all ages.

The Owego Police Department is also doing something special as they're launching a new initiative as part of Project 365. Pastor Jay Geistdorfer (the department's chaplain) will be setting up a tent to collect new backpacks. They are asking you to fill them with essentials like snack bars, a cell phone gift card, a flashlight (with batteries), and personal care products.

They are looking to help the homeless in our area, so if you can donate any of these items, it would be greatly appreciated. All of this is happening at infield at Marvin Park. You can park around the perimeter of the fairgrounds, which is right on West Main Street in Owego, just across from the Price Chopper Plaza.
