National Night Out is back for 2021 and we are all for it. National Night Out began in 1984 and has been held on the first Tuesday in August ever since. Well, except for in 2020 when the pandemic canceled it.

Togetherness and getting over rough bumps with help from each other has been a huge theme for our country during the last year and a half and this year's theme for National Night Out is "Better Together."

National Night Out Binghamton

National Night Out is a fantastic event that encourages neighborhoods to bring awareness and support for our local anti-crime efforts in the community. Normally held in several locations all around Binghamton, National Night Out will be held in one single location this year and that will be at Cheri Lindsey Memorial Park on Binghamton's North Side.

The park is located at 1 Truesdell Street in Binghamton and activities will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Community members and local leaders will be on hand and there will also be games, vendors, and more. CHOW will also be there with a food giveaway.

National Night Out Montrose

In Montrose, Memorial Park will be the location for National Night Out with activities taking place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In Montrose, there will be bounce houses, a slip and slide, and the Dairy Princesses who will be scooping out hard ice cream.

Also expect the Montrose Fire Department, EMS, and National Guard to be on hand to greet you and answer any questions that you might have.
