It's officially Spring and it felt like Winter for most of the week but on Sunday, let's think SUMMER! As in the Modified Summer Slam series at Five Mile Point Speedway. The Modified season event begins Sunday at 4 p.m.

Saturday is an open practice session beginning at 1 p.m. with free Grandstand admission with the donation of a non-perishable food item to benefit CHOW.

Joining the Modifieds for the Summer Slam events on Sunday is the 600 Modifieds, Street Stocks and for the first time ever at Five Mile is the Wingless Sprints. The Street Stock event is also a part of the Fight Night All-Star Series event.

Teams from all over the Northeast will be making an appearance and it begins at 4 p.m. with Nick Rochinski from Dickson City, PA defending his Modified Summer Slam title. It's the first of four Modified Summer Slam races at at Five Mile Point.

It promises to be a great day and night of racing on Sunday with sunshine and temperatures in the 50's. You won't want to miss the speed and grace of the Wingless Sprints as they make their first ever appearance at FMP.
