It's hard to believe that summer is on it's way out but there is still plenty of good weather and good racing left. In fact, Five Mile Point Speedway is celebrating Championship Month.

Three Saturday night races in August will decide all the 2018 Track Championships and this Saturday, you'll have a chance to enjoy double Modified features at the same regular price.

If you're a resident of New Milford then you'll get in for free, just show photo I.D. at the ticket booth. Five Mile Point loves having the kids at the track and that's why it's Youth Night on Saturday. All kids 17 years old and younger will be admitted FREE of charge.

The first feature will start on lap 8 as it was rained out back on July 21st. The teams will have to re-qualify for the second feature of the night. This could go a long way on determining the 2018 Modified Track Champion.
Rusty Smith is the current point leader but Brian Malcom and Nick Rochinski aren't far behind. Joining the Modifieds will be the Street Stocks, Xcel 600 Modifieds, Lighning Cat Expert, Factory Stock and Lightning Cat Novice.
The action gets underway earlier then normal because of the the double feature event. Pit gates open at 3 p.m., grandstand at 4 p.m., practice at 5 p.m. with the green flag flying at 6 p.m. Go here for more info and any update.
