The recent flooding has effected many people in our area and Five Mile Point Speedway helped out flooded families on Thursday, August 23rd. They served as the site for the CHOW distribution packs for families that were affected by local flooding.

I want to say a big "THANK YOU" to Andrew and the rest of the staff at Five Mile Point Speedway for the giving of your time and resources to help those in need in our area. They also took their own water truck around after the flooding to help in any way that they could.

If you're looking for a way to thank them, then come on out on Saturday when the entire 2018 racing season comes down to one night on Season Championship Night.

Seven divisional track championships will be decided on the final night of point racing. Grandstand gates open at 4:30 p.m., practice at 5:30 p.m. and the green flag flies at 6:30 p.m.

As always, kids 12 years and younger will be admitted free on Saturday. It's hard to believe that the summer is almost over but here's your chance to have fun at the speedway tonight and Saturday.

Go here for more info and any changes that may come along.
