Local Foster Care Agency Needs Your Help During Coronavirus Pandemic
The coronavirus pandemic is causing stress for many families. That's why now more than ever, we need Berkshire Farm Center and Services for Youth program. There are more than 25,000 children in foster care in New York and over 65 children are in need of care every day.
Berkshire Farms provide short and long term foster care and other children's services throughout New York and in our area. They also help with the child's expenses to ease the financial burden on the family.
Maybe you can't foster a child at this time but want to help in their efforts. They have a Mission Fund to provide them the support they need. It includes meals, hygiene products, help with bills or costs of child care.
You can help the children and their families in our community, so go here to bring stability to the children and their families. No amount is too small.
They are also sponsoring a COVID-19 Congressional Town Hall tonight (Tuesday, April 28th) from 7 to 8 p.m. Check it out here when 10 members from the House of Representatives and the Senate will be participating in this event.
To find out more about what you can do to help these kids find a temporary safe haven during this very difficult time, go here or call them at (607) 772-3123.
