2020 has been a tough and rough year for many businesses across the country and in the Southern Tier. One company in our area has been active this year and they don't look to be slowing down. I'm talking about Visions Federal Credit Union.

In May, they donated $60,000 to various COVID-19 relief organizations in our area. Visions employees lent a hand as well by raising over $11,000 to benefit local food banks with their Denim Days Program.

In August, Visions Federal Credit Union secured the naming rights to the arena in Binghamton. Beginning on January 1st, it'll be known as the Visions Federal Credit Union Veterans Memorial Arena and it'll remain that way for the next 10 years.

After that, they continued to look for other ways to help our area in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic and they've done it again. Visions Federal Credit Union has given UHS Hospitals a $15,000 grant that will let them expanded their COVID-19 testing capacity.

In 2019, no one knew about COVID-19 and the havoc that it would create. COVID-19 testing was an expense that UHS didn't budget for in 2020 and Visions sees this as a way to help offset some of the costs. They know that rapid testing is playing a role in keeping us all healthy and can help keep the community spread low.

With rising coronavirus cases, the uncertainty of our countries future, and new NYS restrictions, it's great to see the positive things that are happening in our community.

We just want to say "THANK YOU" to Visions and keep up the great work.
