Visions Federal Credit Union has been community-minded for many years and this year they wanted to bring free music back to downtown Binghamton. So they created the Visions Summer Concert Series at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena.

It was their way for everyone including kids to enjoy free music outside. This Friday, August 12th is the final Visions Summer Concert event of the season with the Ronald Reagan Big '80s Show.

Binghamton Black Bears Fan Fest At Visions Veterans Memorial Arena

It was going to be a good time but now the party just got bigger because it's also going to be Binghamton Black Bears Fan Fest. With all the hot weather that we've been having it's hard to believe that hockey season is only two months away.

The Binghamton Black Bears inaugural season was a big success and they came within 13 seconds of advancing to the quarterfinals in the Commissioner's Cup Playoffs. They look to go even farther in year two.

Many of last year's stars are coming back including Binghamton's own Geno DeAngelo along with Tyler Gjurich and Gavin Yates. They have a new head coach (Gary Gill) and some new players including defenseman Jake Schultz.

You'll have a chance to meet some of this year's Black Bears along with locker room tours and more during Fan Fest on Friday. The entire Visions Concert Summer Series/Binghamton Black Bears Fan Fest begins at 5 p.m. and I'll be there from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

By the way, their home opener is Friday, October 14th against Elmira and I'm also coming back again for Chuck-a-Puck between the 2nd and 3rd periods of the game. You can see the entire 28 game home schedule here.

As we get ready for the 2022-23 season, lets look back to how it all began last year.
