Things are getting exciting in downtown Binghamton. I was dropping my daughter, Tara, off for a video shoot in the area and noticed that there is a ramp going up on Hawley Street, next to Washington Street. It's six stories up and it doesn't look like they are done yet.

It'll be nice to have another place to park for the Binghamton Devil's hockey games at the Arena. Speaking of the Arena, it's official, it has a new name. Following a meeting on Thursday, August 13th, the Broome County Legislature announced that Visions Federal Credit Union has secured the naming rights to the Arena.

Beginning on January 1st, 2021, and running for 10 years, it'll be known as the Visions Federal Credit Union Veterans Memorial Arena. They will also provide ongoing sponsorship to the Forum but wait there's more.

Visions is partnering with Mirabito Energy Products to support the Arena and to help bring more entertainment to Broome County. Mirabito will also sponsor the Arena and Forum box offices.

So thanks to Visions and Mirabito and we can't wait for concerts, live entertainment, and hockey to return to the Arena. To quote the movie, Casablanca, "I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."
