Jay’s Monday Jams (On a Tuesday)

Another edition of Jay's Monday Jams is here. I know today is Tuesday, but we were all enjoying our time off yesterday and I was elbows deep in lasagna and forgot to write my weekly musical suggestions. So here we go!

It's been some time since we have heard from American Idol winner Scotty McCreery. He had a pretty big hit in "See You Tonight" and had a few songs on the radio since then. Last year Scotty performed a brand new song at the Grand Ole Opry and it went very viral. The song was "Five More Minutes," a song Scotty says is for his grandfather. The song covers all aspects of how life is short and we all want just a few more seconds to enjoy the little things.

It's no mystery that I root for Luke Combs to succeed in everything he does. If you listen to my show you know I continually say he should have won a ton of awards for his album "This One's For You." "Beer Can" is off this tremendous album, and it'll have you looking forward to every weekend after a long week,

A great video, a great song, and one of the greatest artists ever. George Strait is simply THE man, and his songs display that. A song about young love has all of us relating to this classic tune. "Check Yes or No" is simply a perfect song.
