How Your Teddy Bear Can Help You During the Pandemic
Do you remember when you were feeling sick or scared? Other than your mom, nothing brought you greater comfort than holding your teddy bear. He/She seemed to fit perfectly in your arms. Fast forward to 2020 and the world has turned upside down because of the coronavirus pandemic.
You find yourself thinking, I could use a little distraction to help forget what's going on around me. How about letting your stuffed furry friend come to the rescue today?
The second Wednesday in October is National Bring Your Teddy Bear to Work/School Day. With many people working at home and with remote learning happening at some schools, it'll be easier to do and not seem too odd. Although it's 2020, so odd is normal.
If you forgot to bring your bear to work/school today, it only takes minutes to walk upstairs to get your stuffed furry friend. Take your teddy to your Zoom meeting and introduce him/her to your fellow workmates. Bring your bear for a long lunch...in the kitchen in the next room.
To help celebrate, here some bear jokes to share during your Zoom meeting or class:
How do you catch a fish without a fishing pole? With your BEAR hands.
What do you call a bear with no teeth? A gummy bear.
What did the teddy bear say after dinner? I'm stuffed.
Once in awhile (and especially in 2020), we need to let the kid in us take over. Fun times with few responsibilities, so give yourself a break. Cuddle up with your sweet childhood toy, act like a kid, and have a bear-y nice day.
