Honoring The Fallen This Memorial Day Weekend
Memorial Day Weekend is going to be A LOT different this year because of the coronavirus pandemic. Most, if not all, parades are not happening this year including in Binghamton and Endicott.
For the first time in 20 years, AAA won't be releasing a Memorial Day travel forecast and they expect that travel over the weekend will set a record low because of COVID-19.
You may be staying home but there are still many things that you can do this weekend including honoring our local military. It's also a great time to honor those that paid the ultimate sacrifice.
This weekend, I will honor my friend, John Priestner. John is the kind of person that would make you laugh every day. If you knew John then your world was better for it. A man that was a loving husband and dad.
He loved his country so much that he rejoined the services and was deployed to Iraq. He gave his life during Iraqi Freedom so we can enjoy the life that we live in today.
LIfe may feel different now but we get to live the life we have because of people like John Priestner. John, you paid the ultimate price and that we all say, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU and God Bless You!
Who will you honor this weekend?
