Everywhere you turn, it's Coronavirus this and COVID-19 that. Everywhere you turn, people are stressed, anxious and worried. I get anxious waiting to hear what Governor Cuomo is going to say during his morning press conference.

Social media doesn't help either, I try to keep away from it but sometimes it can't be helped. With all the uncertainty, we are worried about what's going to happen next in our home, county, state, and country.

Here's a question. What is worry? I know what it is but how do I explain it. James MacDonald explained it like this. It's faith in the negative and belief in defeat. Disaster is coming and it's going to be devastating.

It's so easy to think that during these uncertain times. If you can't help worrying, I have news for you, worrying can't help you either. Don't get me wrong, we should be concerned but worrying only sees the problem.

Concern can help solve it but worry doesn't accomplish must. I try to look at it this way. Worry wastes today's time and gets in the way of tomorrow's opportunities with yesterday's problems...Think about that for a moment.

Are you saying to yourself, "I can't help but worry?" Here's my suggestion, try Matthew 6, it's considered the "Don't Worry" chapter. If you're worried that you don't have enough time to read the whole chapter, start with verse 25.

Now I actually need to quit worrying myself and reread that chapter for myself.
