Dick’s Sporting Goods Open Announces First Commitment

He's been a fan favorite on the PGA Tour and Binghamton for years. He's coming back, wild loud pants and all.

The DICK’S Sporting Goods Open has announced that the first commitment for the 2017 Event is know other than....John Daly. This will be Daly’s second trip to Endicott since joining the PGA TOUR Champions.

Daly broke onto the professional golf scene in 1991 with a surprise win at the PGA Championship. His second win came the next year at our very own B.C. Open, beating out Ken Green and a young Phil Mickelson. I can't believe that's been 25 years already.

He would end up with 20 wins on the regular tour including his second major win at the 1995 Open Championship. He has yet to win on the Champions tour but I hope it's on August 20th. He's always entertaining and we are glad that he's back.

The DICK’S Sporting Goods Open is August 14th - 20th at En-Joie Golf Course in Endicott. Don't forget Bon Jovi will be performing on Friday the 18th and they are looking for an opening act. It could be you, here's how.
