Binghamton Rumble Ponies Look For Two in a Row Tonight
Last week Binghamton Rumble Pony pitcher Corey Oswalt was named the Eastern League Pitcher of the Year and last night he proved that he deserved the honor. He allowed one run over seven innings to help take Game 1 of the Eastern Division Championship Series against Trenton at NYSEG Stadium.
Oswalt had a bumpy beginning but got 17 of the last 19 Thunder batters out and the Rumble Ponies win 4-1. Read all about it here. They've won nine straight games and they look to make it ten in a row at home.
The Ponies post season continues tonight, get there early for the music of "Late To Luds" and enjoy 2-for-1 Domestic Beer Specials, $2 Bratwursts, Cheddar Bratwursts or $2 for 5 pierogies during the game.
Yankee fans may recognize the names Clint Frazier and Garrett Cooper. They are rehabbing with Trenton and had one hit between them last night. They are expected to be in the line-up again tonight for the Thunder.
First pitch is at 6:35 as the Ponies go for a perfect ten tonight.
