I remember when I was growing up, one of the things that I looked forward to was going away to camp. It gave me a chance to meet new friends and make awesome memories. This summer is different because of the coronavirus pandemic. Many things in our lives have changed or disappeared.

However, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies are doing something that can make things feel a little bit normal. It's their 2020 baseball camp at NYSEG Stadium from August 11th to August 13th. It goes from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with check-in beginning at 8:30 a.m.

The camp is open to children from 7 to 14 years of age and is only $100 per camper. It will feature hands-on instruction led by 2014 Binghamton Mets infielder and current MILB hitting coach, Brian Burgamy. You'll also work with some of the best local area high school coaches.

Every camper must bring his/her own glove, bat, and water bottle. If you forget your water bottle, there will be bottled water provided for you. Make sure that all equipment is properly labeled with first and last name.

Lunch will be provided every day and pick-up is between 12:15 and 12:30 p.m. Registration is based on first come, first served and registration closes on August 6th.

To pay with a credit card, stop by NYSEG Stadium or call (607) 722-3866 and ask for Eddie. You can go here for more information and to get a registration form.
