Mayor Richard David has listed a couple of his real estate holdings in Binghamton for sale.

David Tuesday confirmed two buildings he owns on Clinton Street in the First Ward have been listed.

The mayor responded to city Democratic Party chair Teri Rennia, who called WNBF Radio's Binghamton Now program Tuesday asking about his plans for those properties and whether he intended to acquire additional real estate.

The properties at 89 and 95 Clinton Street are listed online at $380,000. David acquired the buildings for about $143,000 in 2011.

The property description indicates the two structures have five storefronts and 12 residential units.

The mayor said he listed the commercial and residential buildings have been listed for "a couple months." He said he's had some offers on the properties.

David has purchased several properties in Binghamton since he created Confluence Enterprises more than a decade ago.

The mayor said he hasn't decided whether he would accept an offer on the Clinton Street buildings. He said he listed them because he "wanted to see what the market would bear."

David sold a large mixed use building at the corner of Court and State streets in January 2017. That property at 60 Court Street sold for $1,230,000. David acquired the building $655,000 six years earlier.

The mayor told WNBF News that he will issue a statement if he reaches an agreement to sell additional properties in the city.

This story has been updated to clarify Mayor David did not say he hopes to sell the Clinton Street properties.
