It's a night of family entertainment with performers using their "gifts" to entertain the audience and raise financial support for families and friends that are in need in our community.

It's the Big Gifted Give at the Chenango Valley High School Auditorium this Saturday, February 8th from 6 to 9 p.m. There is entertainment, food, and raffle baskets with 100% of all proceeds going back to the community.

The Dance Connection began this event in 2006 and this year the Big Gifted Give goes to the CV Warrior Fund/Families in Need. This program provides food, clothing, emergency needs and more to families in the CV community all year long.

My daughter, Tara, and her dance class from Dance Connection along with many more acts and entertainers will be participating again this year. Ones of you have asked if I'll be giving my gift of song and sing "Elvira" this year.

That's almost like getting fruitcake for Christmas...You'll take it but you don't want it. As the saying goes, "Wait til next year" when they can turn me down again.

As I mentioned earlier, they'll have raffle baskets. That's Tara's favorite part of any event and it is a HUGE part of this event's success. You can still donate a basket or two? Go here to find out how you can help.

This is what the Dance Connection believes: "Whenever we reach out to help anyone in need, we are all blessed. Thank you for being that blessing" and I believe it too. Don't miss an evening of family entertainment that helps families in the Southern Tier.

The cost of admission is a monetary or food donation and everyone is welcome. Tara and I can't wait to see you this Saturday.
