We are lucky to have so many talented theater people in the Greater Binghamton area.  SUNY Broome always seems to come up with fun and unique entertainment with special scenes from some well known work.

According to a SUNY Broome Press Release, "the cast and crew of this semester’s theater production are currently rehearsing the 2016 Scene Study Showcase."  As a memorial to Edward Albee, one of our most famous American playwrights who passed away on September 16, there will be two scenes: one from his first well-known play “The Zoo Story,” as well as one from “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf.”

Works by David Mamet, Neil Simon and William Shakespeare also will be showcased by the SUNY Broome actors. This marks the first time music students are included in the theater showcase and there will be one musical piece from “The Phantom of the Opera.”

Mark your calendars as the performances are Thursday and Friday, November 17 and 18, at 7:30 p.m. in The Angelo Zuccolo Little Theatre in the Student Center.
