John Davison

I’m a local boy, born and raised and the second youngest of 4 kids. I love the outdoors, and much like Kenny Chesney and Zac Brown, if I could, I would spend the rest of my life on a beach with my toes in the sand. I enjoy being around positive people that dream big. Nature and animals are an important part of who I am, in fact, I have many rescue cats. In my spare time, I like to work out using non-traditional weight lifting techniques. Friends will call me a health nut. Country music is an essential part of my life as the Hawk has been very good to me since 1986. I’ve always said I have the most loyal listeners in the world. It’s thanks to my listening family that I received the Binghamton Broadcaster’s “Working Broadcaster of the Year” honor.

Last Day of Summer at Chenango Valley State Park [PHOTOS]

Sunday turned out to be a weather surprise and I took full advantage of it by taking a unplanned visit to one of my favorite parks, Chenango Valley State Park in Port Crane.  Since it "off season," there is no park admission fee, no life guards, no concessions, just the natural beauty of State Park

Newark Valley Corn Maize Has Important Message

I'm always looking for some cool things to do around the Southern Tier that don't cost an arm and a leg.  For many years now, friends of mine would take this adventure to nearby Newark Valley to tour a real corn "MAIZe." They would come back with some great photos and the following year, more people would join them.  It sounded like the best time and these were all adults having the time of their life at this beautiful family farm.
