Maybe you are like me and prefer to go to New York City on a bus instead of driving a car. There are many things to see and do in NYC and if I can take the bus, I'm all for it.

Here's an event that involves cars (and trucks) and you can take a bus with your friends.

The International Motor Racing Research Center (IMRRC) is putting together a bus trip to the New York International Auto Show on April 19th in New York City.

It began over 100 years ago and is still going strong today. The New York Auto Show had it's first show in 1900 and is North America's first and largest attended show honoring the automobile.

Around 1,000 cars and trucks will be on display at the Jacob Javits Convention Center and it takes place April 14th-23rd. There are four floors on display with the newest vehicles and latest futuristic concept cars. It also features the latest automotive trends.

There are many places to get picked up, so there's bound to be a location near you. The bus can pick up at 5:15 am in Ithaca, 6:15 am in Horseheads or 7:15 am in Binghamton.

The Binghamton pickup is at the Cracker Barrel on Front Street. The Cracker Barrel opens at 6 am, so it's a great opportunity to have breakfast before its time to go. They plan to get at the Javits Center around 11 am.

The bus will leave the show at 6 p.m., with a dinner stop planned on the way home. The price includes round-trip transportation, show admission and a program. Only a few seats remain and the deadline has been extended until Friday, March 31st.
