Do you remember playing with model cars as a kid in the house or driveway? It brings back such great memories as a child as I pretended to drive them around while making the motor sounds. That's why I'm thrilled that this event is happening on Saturday!

It's the 6th annual Model Car Show at the International Motor Racing Research Center (IMRRC) this Saturday, April 6th. It's going to be bigger and better than ever and there'll be a twist at this years event. Master LEGO builders will construct 1/8 scale race cars and run a pinewood derby track for LEGO cars built by you from kits that will be on sale at the event.

Who doesn't love model cars? Hundreds of cars will be on display and includes model cars, die cast cars and slot cars that will represent decades of work and recreate the machines with such detail and realism that you'll think you can hear the engines roar.

You'll have a chance to see models and die cast cars from many different collectors with the opportunity to take some memories home with you. It's all part of opening weekend at Watkins Glen International and the weather looks great.

The IMRRC is an archival library dedicated to the preservation and sharing of the history of motorsports, To find out more about the IMRRC, go here. The International Motor Racing Research Center is located at 610 S. Decatur Street in Watkins Glen.
