Easter is only a few weeks away and if you've got little ones who not only love bunnies (especially the Easter bunny!) but also swimming, you won't want to miss the Aqua Egg Hunt which will take place this Saturday, April 6th at the West Family YMCA in Johnson City.

The Aqua Egg Hunt is open to the public and will run from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There will be different waves, so you don't have to feel pressure to get there right at 5:00 p.m., but you should know that the last wave of eggs will happen at 6:30 p.m. After your kids get their photo taken with the Easter Bunny, they can hop into the pool to hunt for eggs.

While this event is free and open to the public, donations will be accepted if you'd like to give a little something to the YMCA to say thanks for doing fun things like this for our community.

If you plan on going to the Aqua Egg Hunt, these are a few things that you'll want to keep in mind:

  • Any child not potty trained must wear a swim diaper in the pool.
  • Any child that can't swim or touch the bottom in the shallow end must wear a float belt or other approved flotation device and must be accompanied by an adult.
  • No water wings or inflatable devices will be allowed.

If you'd like to learn more about the Aqua Egg Hunt, call the West Family YMCA at 607-770-9622. If you'd like to make the check-in process a little faster, you can register in advance.
