The Rumble Ponies got shutout twice in two nights as they fell to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats 1-0 on August 15, ultimately losing three of four games in the series. On August 16, it was a fresh start as Binghamton began their homestand against the Hartford Yard Goats.

It didn't take long for Hartford to get on the board. First pitch, the first score of the game as Vince Vizcaino had a walk-off homer to right field. Vizcaino would continue the team's scoring as a fly ball single to left field brought home Vince Fernandez. Colton Welker would send home Vizcaino as well as Matt Dennis with an RBI single of his own. This made it a 4-0 lead for the Yard Goats after two.

The top of the fourth brought more of the same for Hartford. Tyler Nevin got out on a sac fly, but not before Dennis recorded another run. Welker would hit a home-run that resulted in Vizcaino crossing home plate to put the Yard Goats on top 7-0 after four.

Binghamton tried their best but still got trounced by a final score of 7-0. They lose the opening game of the series against the Yard Goats and remain scoreless since their double-header against New Hampshire. The Rumble Ponies will look for an offensive overhaul in their next matchup on August 17. The game will begin around 6:35 P.M.
