The Big game is all set for Sunday February 7th with the kickoff to begin at 6:30pm between the AFC champs, Kansas City Chiefs and the NFC champs Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Since I love to root for the underdog, and yes I am aware that Tom Brady is the quarterback, I will be rooting for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Plus the fact that the game is being played in Tampa Bay, is awesome. It's the first time in the history of the big game that one of the teams are playing on their home field.

I did some research and found through Pro Football Reference that the city of Miami has hosted the most big game events. Five are listed as Miami and six are mentioned as Miami Gardens.

New Orleans comes in a close second with ten big game appearances, followed by five appearances in Tampa and Pasadena. Houston, San Diego and Atlanta all played host three times.

And then there was that one appearance at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday February 2nd, 2014 when the Seattle Seahawks beat the Denver Broncos 43 to 8. In my opinion, that was a boring game being played in an outdoor stadium in a cold climate. Not sure they will try that experiment again, but never say never, I guess.

My favorite two big games occurred on February 3rd, 2008 and February 5th, 2012 when the underdog New York Giants beat the New England Patriots 17 to 14 and 21 to 17 respectively. The big dogs with Tom Brady were knocked down by Big Blue and Eli Manning. So sweet.
