Two Rivers Church Providing 'Women's Hope Home'

Two Rivers Church in Johnson City has been making a difference in our area for the last eight years and they have no plans of slowing down any time soon. It's their mission to make everyone feel at home.

However for some people, home is not a place of comfort or safety. That's why Two Rivers Church's latest project is a "Women's Hope Home." They have begun to renovate a 7,500 square foot facility that will provide up to 14 women a safe and secure home.

This will be a safe and secure home to help these ladies transform their lives. The Women's Hope Home wants to provide a residential program for women in crisis such as addiction and/or unplanned pregnancy.

They want to transform challenging circumstances into a joy-filled and productive life. The women participate in devotions and discipleship training. During the day, there will be service/work projects within the home or the surrounding area.

The evenings will be filled with faith-based addiction recovery meetings with professional Christian counseling. The Women's Hope Home will cost $250,000 to complete.

The work for this addiction treatment center has gotten underway but they've hit a roadblock. They've run out of funds to complete the project and this is where Two Rivers Church can use your help. They are asking for your support and inviting you to join them this Saturday.

Fundraiser To Support The Women's Hope Home

They are having a FUNdraiser at Frosty Joe's, 1 Track Drive in Conklin on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Here is your chance to enjoy barbecue from Saucy Hog BBQ and some ice cream from Frosty Joe's (my favorite is the Cookie Dough flurry).

They will have other events at Frosty Joe's and I'll even blow my soccer horn if that will help...I may be able to get big bucks for the Women's Hope Home if I promise NOT to blow the horn.

This is a way to support the women in our area that need our help and you'll be making a difference that will last a lifetime...and beyond. I'm stopping in and I hope to see you there too.
