It’s Tidbit Tuesday- where I share three little tidbits with you to make life a little easier.  Today I’ll tell you how to silence a drippy faucet, reveal a glowing complexion and quickly remove melted on plastic. So grab a cup of coffee and learn how to make life a little simpler!

Silence a drippy faucet-The repairman can’t come to fix your leaky faucet until tomorrow, and the sound is driving you crazy. For a temporary fix, tie a length of dental floss around the spout, letting the other end rest in the basic. Water will flow silently down the string, keeping you sane until help arrives.

Reveal a soft glowing complexion – If your skin looking ashy, nourish it with this rejuvenating pick-me-up: Mix 1/4 cup of coffee grounds with one egg white and massage the mixture into your face. Let dry, then rinse with warm water. The coffee’s small granules will gently buff away dry dead skin cells, while its antioxidants will fight free-radical damage to uncover a radiant complexion. Plus, both coffee and egg whites have astringent properties that will tighten your pores for a flawless fresh-faced appearance.

Quickly remove melted on plastic-You absentmindedly set a bag of bread down too close to a warm stove burner and it melted immediately. To remedy, saturate a cloth with rubbing alcohol and rub it into the mess, then scrape with a spatula. The alcohol’s solvents will dissolve the polymers in the plastic, making it easy to remove. If any residue remains, sprinkle it with baking soda and buff with a damp cloth.
