The Valentine's Day creep is on- hardcore. Like, the big day is next Thursday. Money is tight and you think the holiday is complete garbage and that people should show each other love every day, not just on one day but you also know that your love is expecting you do to something. But what should you do? If you're not sure, here are three gift ideas that won't break the bank.

    A Home Cooked Meal

Maybe I'm in the minority, but eating out on Valentine's Day with hordes of other people isn't my idea of a good time. Short on cash? Use this as an opportunity to stay home and dine in!  Start the day off by serving your love breakfast in bed. For dinner, pick up a nice bottle of wine and some candles. If you're an awful cook, just visit the prepared foods section at the grocery store and grab a couple things. Tada!

    A Relaxation Session

Massages, pedicures, and manicures are a wonderful way to relax and be pampered and you can pick up a gift certificate for one of them for well under $50. But, you know what's even more romantic? The idea of giving a massage to your love yourself. Even if your skills aren't professional level, they'll appreciate the time and effort you put into it.

    The Mix-Tape

Remember when we were in high school and would record our favorite songs off the radio and make mix tapes? If someone gave you a mix tape, it was seriously romantic and that's what's so awesome about reviving what we used to do as kids. Make a list of songs that remind you of things you've done together and burn the songs onto a CD with a note letting your love know that the songs remind you of special times together. Trust me, they'll love it!
