Today (2/5) at 3 pm, the Boy Scouts of America, Baden-Powell Council will have a press conference to announce Ty Muse as the winner of the 2018 Broome County Distinguished Citizen Award.

It'll be at Visions FCU Headquarters, 24 McKinley Avenue in Endicott. Muse will be recognized by BP Council and other business and community leaders for his achievements and service to our area.

Broome County’s Distinguished Citizen Award recognizes individuals who set positive examples for others and who demonstrate concern and significant care for their communities.

The Boy Scouts have been in our area for over 105 years when the council was established in Binghamton. Dinner Chairman Joe Mirabito along with past Distinguished Citizen Award Recipients will be on hand to honer Muse.

The council serves young people throughout the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes Region serving six counties which include Broome, Tioga, Chenango, Cortland and Tompkins Counties of New York and Susquehanna County in Pennsylvania.
