Strike Out Cancer Benefit for Damon Goga & Family
You may have heard on the Hawk that you can stop at participating Burger King locations and donate $1 to Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital. In return, you'll get 3 Burger King coupons and more importantly your donation will benefit the pediatric care and research at the hospital and can help make a difference for the life of a child.
Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital does a lot of great work for the children in our area including Damon Goga. Damon is an 11 year old boy whose family lives near me and is a part of the Chenango Valley community.
He's an active, athletic boy and was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma in November of 2017. He has a tumor on his tibia and is undergoing treatment at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital.
They are having a benefit for him this Saturday, May 19th at St. Francis of Assisi,1049 Chenango Street in Binghamton. It's a BBQ picnic dinner with activities for the kids. Your $10 admission gets you a picnic dinner of hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches and more along with drinks and dessert. 12 and under eat for free.
For $5, kids can get a hand stamp for unlimited use of the inflatable sports activities, games and ballpark snacks. His #1 love is baseball so let's help Damon Strike Out Cancer this Saturday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi. Batter-Up!
