St. Jude ABCs of Cancer: M Is for Miracle, Praying for a Miracle [GALLERY]
They are heroes. In every sense of the word, they are heroes. The children at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are so exceptionally brave as they navigate so many uncertainties and the emotional journey of fighting against some of the very worst of forms of childhood illness.
If you ever, even for a single second, wondered what life is like for the children at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the precious kids themselves have explained what they’re going through and how they feel by using letters of the alphabet. On display for anyone who visits the hospital to see, the children have used art to represent their feelings and it’s impossible to stand in front of the ABCs of Cancer wall and not feel overcome with emotion.
We can tell you about the wonderful things that St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital does and we can tell you that no family is ever presented with a bill for medical treatment, meals, housing, nothing. We can tell you that St. Jude is an amazing research facility in addition to a hospital and that they freely share their findings with the medical community. We can tell you that children from all around the world are taken in and treated at St. Jude.
What we can’t tell you is what the children under the care of the hospital are feeling. Only they can and they’ve done a beautiful job through their ABCs of Cancer wall. We encourage you to look through the artwork handmade by actual patients and then to call 800-372-4999 and become a Partner in Hope by making a donation to help these precious souls as they literally fight for their lives.
