Binghamton Pub to Support Childhood Cancer Research
Binghamton is sending a message loud and clear: compassion drives us, unity binds us, and together, we can make a world of difference for kids facing cancer.
You're invited to support the fight against childhood cancer at the Red Jug Pub in Binghamton on Sunday, April 21! between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at a special St. Baldrick's event during which community members will say goodbye to their locks for a heartfelt cause. In a display of solidarity with children battling cancer, participants will shave their heads to rally together and raise $10,000 for childhood cancer research.
Why Shave Heads for Cancer Research?
For the last 25 years, the St. Baldrick's Foundation has fought to save the lives of children diagnosed with cancer. Despite their efforts, the stark reality remains: one in five children diagnosed with cancer in the United States will not make it.
That heartbreaking fact is why the St. Baldrick's Foundation relentlessly seeks donations to fund critical research. Their focused mission is to conquer kids' cancer, empowering studies that aim to develop safer, more effective treatments. This head-shaving event is more than just a fundraiser—it's a symbol of empathy and an act of support towards those who have personally faced the harsh realities of cancer.
